Responsibilities

Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.

The selected candidate will provide Systems Integration and Engineering support for a dynamic and evolving mission environment. The SI supports a Division and Multiple branches leveraging emerging technologies to include C2S/AWS, Web and Internet technologies, varied analysis tools, & networks.

The SI will provide Division and Branch level SI support to a diverse technical organization and will be required to work across the organization to achieve results. The selected candidate will be working with a variety of internet related technologies and capabilities in a dynamic and evolving mission environment. Familiarity with Cloud Computing is desired. Certain components of the position will require the selected candidate to optimize the collection of metrics to include Social Media metrics and those associated with networks.

The position operates in a multi-contractor environment so previous experience working with systems integrators, systems engineers, developers and stakeholders in a collaborative environment is desired. The SI will also generate briefings and briefing content, will assist with business process re-engineering, budget and financial management of projects, project roadmaps, project and risk management, technical consultant, author white papers and serve as an emerging talent/SME for niche technologies within the Group. The position may require some CM oversight to ensure baseline rigor over capabilities and technologies. The candidate will work collaboratively across the organization to track, control and answer actions.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience with a Bachelors Degree (preferably in a technical discipline) or 2-3 years with a Masters Degree. The candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse cross-section of technical, managerial and business focused stakeholders.

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
