As Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence ( C4I) and Interoperability SME, provide systems engineering technical program management support for the Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) systems engineering for new construction ships, modernization, and in-service baselines.
Participate in IPTs and working groups to ensure command and control interoperability among all CS elements in surface ships, strike groups and joint, allied and coalition units. Provide systems engineering technical program management support to ensure integration of C4I systems with baseline development including functional requirements definition, computer program upgrades, integration, test and evaluation of new computer programs.
Perform requirements definition and architecture development in support of Navy, Joint, and Coalition interoperability. Participate in IPTs and working groups to ensure command and control interoperability among all CS elements in surface ships, strike groups and joint, allied and coalition units.
Work with Stakeholders to evolve designs and capabilities, resolve integration problems, and analyze requirements.
Coordinate with System Command PARMs and Ship Program Offices to address such issues as use of common interface standards and open systems architectures to ensure commonality across platforms and to increase communications and interoperability.
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
BS degree in Engineering
Experience with a Program Office supporting a DoD Acquisition Program
Experience as a Systems Engineer for a DoD Acquisition Program
Ability to work independently and part of a team
-Systems Engineering, Program Management, and other Acquisition-related Certifications a plus
