Responsibilities

Individual shall perform software coding tasks as defined by NRL. Coding tasks are defined as a set of acceptance criteria to include input/output requirements, performance requirements, coding language of implementation, and information assurance conformance. Software code developed by the individual should employ industry standard practices to include proper error handling, memory management, and input validation. Software code developed by the individual shall be compliant with information assurance requirements for DoD software applications defined on a per project basis. The individual shall perform software quality analysis to include testing, collection of software metrics, and code reviews. The individual shall perform software documentation practices to include in-line source documentation, user manual generation, and developer guide generation. The individual shall employ NRL-specified development practices to include Agile software development, test-driven development, pair-programming.

Qualifications

Requires 3 plus years with BS/BA

Desired Experience:

Demonstrated experience in developing DoD operational MIW applications.

Demonstrated experience in developing Navy/DoD enterprise applications, Navy/DoD computational algorithms, or Navy/DoD software tools.
