Develop and manage tactical signatures and training system software that is used in the conduct of tactical oceanography and the understanding of platform signature content by fleet personnel. Ssytems are used for real time performance prediction of sonar sensor detectability and real time prediction of ship and battlegroup vulnerability to opposing force weapons and sensors along with associated classroom curriculum. Development will utilize C, C++, Java and FORTRAN. Capabilities developed have included tactical display components, web services, middleware translation tools, scalable algorithms, and multiple user interfaces streamlining the display of complex environmental data with real-time updates from assorted onboard systems and sensors. Successful execution will require configuration management, regression testing, and management/delivery of multiple production software baselines from a common core.
Position requires a BS in Engineering or Computer Science and 8 years experience in systems development using C/C++/Java/FORTRAN. Candidates must have experience in one or more of the following: tactical display components, web services, middleware translation tools, scalable numerical/modeling algorithms (acoustic modeling a plus), user interfaces displaying complex environmental data with real-time updates from onboard sensors.
