The candidate will collaborate directly with the prime contractor, management, engineers and government customers. The candidate will apply systems engineering principles to ensure mission success.
In this position the qualified system engineer will apply their knowledge of cloud management, cloud data analytics, visualization techniques (dashboards),virtualization practices, data communications methods, and data center design philosophies to innovative new system platform designs. The candidate will be work as part of team to provide conceptual designs, and acquisition strategies for inserting new technologies, improving cyber posture, and reducing sustainment costs for legacy Air Force systems and networks.
Provides system design and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced products with focus to the upper portion of Systems engineering “V” model. Familiar with agile development processes. Articulates the systems engineering/agile methods and project vision, conceptualizes and experiments with alternative architectural approaches, creates component and software interface models, and validates the designs against requirements and assumptions. Work with various product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to communicate technical data packages. Provide technical advice to other departments within the organization, and responsible for integrating components built by product developers. Works well without supervision on highly complex projects.
Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent desired
Secret required / Top Secret desired
excellent communications skills and experience interacting with Government customers.
Ability to apply and understand Architectural Frameworks such as, MBSE, DoDAF or UAF.
Familiarity with Architectural Tools such as Enterprise Architect.
Familiarity with DOORS is desired.
INCOSE certification is desired.
Some travel may be required in this role.
