Provide day-to-day maintenance and support for the Airborne Battle Command Program Support Office's (ABC PSO) fielded systems including the AN/ASC-15E and AN/ASC-38, which consists of fault isolation and repair of computer systems, network equipment, satellite communications, digital radio systems and aircraft wiring harnesses. Provide hands-on training to soldiers and maintainers, guidance to commanders on its use, and feedback to the Army’s Product Manager. Assist aviation leadership and maintenance personnel with all logistical support for the system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Field Service Technician: Capable of performing analyses of system operations. Must have knowledge of and experience in aircraft electrical systems and maintenance practices, and the operations of hardware systems and components. Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components. Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including: hardware configurations; adding, removing and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; and reading of electronic circuit schematics and mechanical drawings. Capable of providing communication engineering, technical, and logistical support to the Government. Technical support to develop, maintain, and directly assist with or complete troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of communication networks. Once the systems are installed, the contractor shall continue to provide support for maintenance and upgrades as required. Provide continuing technical advice and assistance, maintenance, and repair support to the Government. Capable of executing all required firmware and software upgrades and shall establish and execute a return materiel authorization (RMA) program. Needs to possess aircraft electrical maintenance, computer/networking, and installation experience.
Requires BA/BS and 10+ years of related experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to use a computer. Must understand the military functions and rank structures. Must be able to comprehend oral and written instructions.
Must have aircraft electrical maintenance experience and be experienced with computer/networking systems.
